'Love is Blind' is a paper on canvas collage, measuring 20x20 cm.
The surrealistic composition is built up from two elements.
The collage shows a black and white photo of a glamorous couple of which the eyes are removed.
The vintage couple are film stars Alan Ladd and June Allyson for the Warner Bros film 'The Mc Connell Story', a 1955 dramatisation of the life and career of United States Air Force pilot Joseph C. McConnell (1922–1954) directed by Gordon Douglas.
The image is a cut out from a fifties French film magazine.
The background image is a detail of an illustration of 'At the Seaside'; a painting by William Merritt Chase's .
