'Twiggy in Pink'

Mixed composition on canvas from the series ‘The Stare’.
The basis of this composition is the iconic image of 16-year-old Twiggy (Dame Lesley Lawson), photographed by Barry Lategan in 1966.
The mirrored and printed image is transferred to the canvas.
The paper is roughly torn, giving a weather-worn appearance, reminiscent of a poster or billboard.
The background is made of several layers of acrylic paint. Paint is added, removed and/or marked.
The portrait is finished with oil paints.

Signed and varnished, the artwork is delivered with a certificat of authenticity.
