From the 'Rose' series.
The Rose Series is a surreal series of
mixed media compositions in which the roses reinforce the mouvement and the romantic aspect of the subjects.
On a blue background a red rose and a yellow rose seem to float in midair.
The partial faces of two lovers seem engaged in a kiss.
The roses colourfully mark the mouvement in this work and suggests the facial expressions.
The images are original cut outs from 1960's and 1970's vintage magazines.
The image of the man and woman was originally for a beer publicity, where a blindfolded couple taste from the same glass.
Mixed media composition on 30x30 cm canvas board.
