' Sisters'

'Sisters' is a paper on canvas collage, measuring 20x20 cm.
The surrealistic composition is built up from five elements.
The collage shows two girls, Margaret and Mary, Gainsborough's daughter, painted by the artist.
The faces and bodices are cut out and replaced by images from beetles and the inner circle of a vinyl record cover.
