' Love is Blind 3'

'Love is Blind 3' is a paper on canvas collage, measuring 20x20 cm.
The surrealistic composition is built up from five elements on a pink background.
The collage shows a black and white photo of a glamorous couple of which the eyes and top part of the face are replaced by various items.
The vintage couple are film stars Alida Valdi and Gregory Peck for the film 'The Paradine Case', a 1947 American film noir courtroom drama film, set in England, directed by Alfred Hitchcock and produced by David O. Selznick.
The image is a cut out from a fifties French film magazine.
The main background image is a detail of an illustration of Robert Rauschenberg's assemblage: 'Primary Mobiloid Glut'.
The composition is finished with a red and white horizontal strip, a dice and a cutting with an orange semi circle and graphic lines.
The elements contrast and complement each other.
As a result the objects seem to give the couple their expression.
